Stage 1+ is precisely calibrated for use with 93 oct/98 ron fuel and provides huge power gains over stock while maintaining an OEM-like driving experience with exceptional reliability.

Performance Software optimized for use with 93 octane / 98 Ron fuel and basic hardware bolt-ons. The MK8 GTI Stage 2 Software from Unitronic safely increases power and torque allowing users to enjoy their vehicles to the fullest on the street or on the track without reliability headaches.

Stage 1+ E85 and Stage 2 E85 ECU Software is now available for the MK8 GTI® equipped with the 2.0TSI® EVO4 engine. With testing and validations completed, power output on the MK8 GTI is increased by up to +151HP / +142LB-FT with Unitronic Stage 2 E85 Performance Software for a maximum of 417HP / 426LB-FT. With testing and validations completed, power outputs on the MK8 GTI are now increased by up to +204HP / +141LB-FT with Unitronic Stage 3 93 octane Performance Software for a total of 470HP / 425LB-FT.

Stage 1+ E85 power output is increased by up to +141HP / +130LB-FT for a maximum of 407HP / 414LB-FT. These new calibrations also include a new Start/Stop feature, which enables the vehicle to now remember the last set position and we'll be adding this functionality into all tuned files for the MK8 GTI / R and 8Y S3 in the near future.*

Expanding on its extensive experience with the SIMOS controllers found in modern VW and Audi vehicles and being the first major North American tuner with Performance Software offerings for the SIMOS 19.6 equipped MK8 GTI (including at-home tuning via UniCONNECT+), Unitronic Engineers wasted no time recalibrating the new SIMOS 19.6 ECU to achieve more power and torque with Stage 1+ and Stage 2 E85 calibration optimizations including recalibrated boost regulation, optimized ignition timing, lambda, camshaft timing, and much more.

Stage 1 TCU Performance Software, Intake with Air Duct and Intercooler are required to achieve advertised power figures.

Calibrations engineered to maximize clutch life in vehicles equipped with MQ350 transmissions are coming soon while letting you still enjoy increased performance.

This vehicle has added support through UniCONNECT+ which allows you to program your own vehicle right in your own garage.

Stage 3:

Expanding on its extensive experience with the SIMOS controllers found in modern VW and Audi vehicles and being the first major North American tuner with Performance Software offerings for the SIMOS 19.6 equipped MK8 GTI, Unitronic Engineers wasted no time recalibrating the new SIMOS 19.6 ECU to achieve more power and torque with the new direct drop-in Garrett PowerMax Turbocharger (available through Unitronic). Unitronic Stage 3 ECU calibration optimizations include recalibrated boost regulation, optimized ignition timing, lambda, camshaft timing, and much more in order to safely develop more power with this impressive new turbocharger.

Unitronic is proud to release its Stage 3 TCU Performance Software for the DQ381.2 transmission, which is calibrated for use specifically with Unitronic's Stage 3 ECU Performance Software. Unitronic Engineers identified gearbox originating torque limitations on the TCU side of the DQ381.2 transmission. In order to overcome these limitations, while ensuring proper torque management and operation, TCU Performance Software is required for DSG vehicles. Stage 3 TCU Performance Software calibrations increase the torque limiter and increase clutch clamping pressure in order to allow the capability of higher clutch torque for seamless operation which further enhances the user experience. Customers with locked BLxxx401 TCU types are not yet eligible for this upgrade however the team of Unitronic Software Engineers is continuously working towards providing a solution.

UniFLEX Software:

With the unique ability to blend mapping of timing, boost pressure, fueling and much more, Unitronic's FLEX enabled ECU Performance Software and UniFLEX Hardware allows users to seamlessly transition from 0% to 85% ethanol content — or said another way, 100% gasoline to 85% ethanol and anywhere in between, without needing an ECU reflash.

When a vehicle is flashed with a Unitronic FLEX enabled ECU calibration and cruise control is set to the OFF position, the factory power gauge will now show ethanol content percentage. Best of all, cruise control functionality remains unaffected and the power gauge works like stock, showing engine power when the cruise control is turned on and/or engaged.

Unitronic's E85 Manager application offers another way for you to wirelessly monitor ethanol content, calculate future gas/ethanol content blends depending on your performance goals and more while using your mobile device's Bluetooth connection. Compatible with iOS and Android devices. Unitronic E85 Manager is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

Oil and Additives Recommendation

Unitronic uses and recommends Liqui Moly Oil & Additives exclusively for your vehicle, which meet Audi/VW approvals. 

At the moment, only DQ381.2 gearboxes with BLvXXXX0301 are currently tuneable through the OBD2 port with support for the newer TCUs with BLvXXXX0401 in the works.

• If you have a vehicle with the latter TCU, Unitronic offers both Stage 1 and Stage 1+ ECU Performance Software suitable for safe use with the stock TCU calibration in a limited torque format with Stage 1+ for 93oct on a MK8 Golf R or 8Y S3 making up to 430HP/377LB-FT.
