Designed and engineered by our in-house R\u0026amp;D Team to replace the under-performing stock intercooler, our intercooler is more efficient at cooling the turbocharged air with less pressure drop than stock. The factory tube and fin intercooler is not up to the task of shedding heat efficiently at higher power levels. If you plan to go above stock boost levels an intercooler upgrade is a must. With our ECS Tuning OE-Location Intercooler Upgrade we recorded lower intercooler outlet temperatures, lower pressure drop and an increase in cooling system efficiency. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur design features high quality cast aluminum end tanks with our massive 25” x 15.8” x 2.55” {+1,000in³} aluminum bar and plate core, which lends to an increase in volume of +113% over the OEM MK8 GTI intercooler, for maximum heat dissipation.
